The quaint village of Oxford, MI is located in the northeast section of Oakland County and occupies one square mile. It was settled in 1823 and incorporated as a village in 1876. Oxford earned its nickname, "Gravel Pit Capital of the World" from its extensive gravel pits back in the day. After Brunswick Corporation purchases Sea Ray, the Oxford plant closed.
