Great Bear is a location great for family hikes when the weather is nice, and is turned in to Eastern South Dakota's premier skiing and tubing destination. Brandon provides a great place to live if you crave outdoors activity. Boasting 7 miles of hiking trails and glimpses of many of South Dakota's wide-varieties of wildlife, the Big Sioux Recreation Area is a great place for families of all ages to enjoy the natural beauty surrounding the area.
Water Damage in Brandon
The climate of Brandon is similar to surrounding towns in that it typically sees hot, humid summers, and dry, cold winters. This was not the case in 2019. 2019 saw Brandon receive abnormal rainfall totals in both the early spring and late summer. These rains, combined with other factors, caused the Big Sioux River to flood and the Big Sioux Recreation Area was heavily damaged and submerged. While we wish we could restore water damage in nature, SERVPROwas able to help the residents of Brandon with their water damage restoration.
