Tucked away between Greenville and Columbia SC you will find the historic town of Laurens, South Carolina. The town and the county of Laurens were named after a Charleston aristocrat Henry Laurens – who was a patriot, and a statesman who became the President of the Continental Congress. Laurens was once known for tailor-made clothes. Andrew Johnson (the 17th President of the United States) established a tailor shop on the historic square. Laurens is known for the friendly people who live here and the historic courthouse and architecture. The square was booming back in the early 1840’s and it still booming today.
With the renovations completed over the past few years this has brought many new businesses to the area, making the downtown square the place to be. The City of Laurens hosts several community events including the Annual Squealin on the Square event that’s held the first weekend in October. This event brings many visitors to the area along with the KCBS State Championship BBQ Cook – off. The event has several arts and crafts, food vendors, live entertainment, a kid’s area with rides and bounce houses galore! There is an event for every season in the downtown area with the Annual Sip n Stroll held in late Spring – you will find the SERVPRO green tent – serving up local wines and getting to know the wonderful friendly residents and visitors of Laurens.

SERVPRO was both expedient and professional in dealing with my water damage emergency. The water heater had ruptured and poured countless gallons of water onto the floor; ruining floor covering, furniture, walls and baseboards.
The drying process helped me salvage a lot of family articles that otherwise would have been lost.
The insurance claim process was also made easy with Mel Kitchens providing detailed information to adjuster and following up as needed.
Mr. Kitchens and SERVPRO personally followed up with me to ensure the issue was remedied and I was 100% satisfied.
