If you are heading out of the town of Laurens on Highway 76 you will pass through the small quaint little town of Joanna, SC. Some say don’t blink or you will miss it – but don’t let the small town fool you. Joanna is the largest unincorporated community in Laurens County. The community settled in the late 1700’s the town was known as “Martin’s Depot” named after a local planter Martin Kinard who had a major hand in bringing the Laurens Railroad through the community. In 1872 the name of the town was changed once again to “Goldville” after the Joanna Manufacturing Company came to the community. The town was renamed once again to Joanna – the wife of a local industrialist.
With a population less than 1,600 hundred people you can bet everyone knows everyone in the town of Joanna. Joanna offers residents a rural feel – country living at it’s finest. – Most residents in the town of Joanna own their own home – making the town a Joanna a place to put down your roots if you want don’t want the hustle of a larger town.

It was a Monday and holiday and my office had a MAJOR water damage and I immediately called SERVPRO. They were at my office in 45 minutes and began cleaning up. They have continued to be here and help with the damage between walls and floors and have helped with whatever we needed. They also helped to keep our practice open. SERVPRO was both expedient and professional in dealing with my water damage emergency. The water heater had ruptured and poured countless gallons of water onto the floor; ruining floor covering, furniture, walls and baseboards.
