Jeff Short
Jeff Short is the owner of SERVPRO of Ames. He has certifications from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Certification (IICRC) in water, mold and fire. He believes in honesty and hard work. His community involvements include the Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and Mentor Iowa. He likes to spend time with his family, and enjoys youth sports coaching in baseball and football, loves fishing, and the outdoors. He is a supporter of Iowa State University athletics and the Chicago Cubs.
Lori Newhouse
Lori is the Operations Manager for SERVPRO Team Short. She has over ten years of experience in office operations and customer service. She has spent time in the field as a SERVPRO Tech, which gives her experience in water restoration, fire restoration, demolition, and reconstruction work.
Lori believes in always staying positive and loves to cheer on the team at SERVPRO.
In her free time, she loves hanging out with her family, playing with her dog, and doing DIY projects around the house. She is involved in youth sports and supports animal rehabilitation and rescue.
Patrick Walker
Pat is a valuable team member, working diligently in the Human Resources Department at SERVPRO Team Short. He became a part of our team in March of 2024, displaying a remarkable dedication to learning and excelling in the industry. Outside his professional responsibilities, Pat finds joy in playing darts and following his favorite sports teams. His commitment to helping others shines through in his work at SERVPRO, where he finds fulfillment in assisting people during challenging times.
Jeff Livingston
Jeff is the Director of Sales & Marketing for SERVPRO Team Short. He joined our team in 2022. He brings years of experience in Business Development.
In his free time, Jeff enjoys watching freestyle wrestling, spending time with his family, and snowmobiling!

Jill Parker
Jill is a Production Manager at SERVPRO of Ames. She joined our team in August of 2024. Jill is IICRC Water Restoration Certified.
Outside of work, Jill enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Brian Burkle
Brian is a Commercial Mitigation Manager at SERVPRO of Ames. He joined our team in 2024. Brian is IICRC Water and Fire Restoration Certified.
In his free time, Brian enjoys working on hot rods and spending time with her family.

Braedon Gehrke
Braedon serves as the Reconstruction Coordinator at SERVPRO of Ames, having commenced her tenure with us in early 2025, displaying a strong commitment to grasping the intricacies of the industry.
During her leisure hours, Braedon enjoys hanging out with his puppy, watching sports, bowling, and spending time with his family.
Braedon finds fulfillment in her role at SERVPRO owing to the daily acquisition of new knowledge. She also relishes the opportunity to engage in collaborative endeavors with various contractors to restore properties to their preloss condition.
Christina Wright
Christina is a Job File Coordinator at SERVPRO of Ames. Her expertise and attention to detail ensure our projects are executed with precision and efficiency. Her commitment to excellence has been vital to our team's success, and we are fortunate to have her on board.
Outside of work, Christian loves spending time with and training her beautiful dog.

Don and Carrie came over and checked out my attic after a suspected raccoon break-in. They were very professional even when a bunch of blown-in insulation rained down on them while opening the hatch to the attic. Carrie checked the attic and took pictures. Don told me that the insulation was undisturbed and looked clean. He told me that no clean-up work was required. Before leaving, they cleaned up the insulation that came down. Jeff & his team completed the restoration of our brand new home. The main floor & basement sustained water damage due to plumber's error. Contractor was interested in only patch work. Filed a claim through our homeowners insurance & SERVPRO did the rest. Extremely conscientious team, communicated options & outlined timeline. Communicated with insurance adjuster & kept us informed. They went above & beyond by sending in a cleaning crew in the middle of the project so I could complete a medically required in-home infusion!! As in any building/restoration project scheduling flexibility is a must. We are extremely happy with the plumber, drywall & painter sub contractors provided through SERVPRO, too. Highly recommend SERVPRO of Ames IA.
