Jeff Short
Jeff Short is the owner of SERVPRO of Ames. He has certifications from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Certification (IICRC) in water, mold and fire. He believes in honesty and hard work. His community involvements include the Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and Mentor Iowa. He likes to spend time with his family, and enjoys youth sports coaching in baseball and football, loves fishing, and the outdoors. He is a supporter of Iowa State University athletics and the Chicago Cubs.
Jeff Livingston
Jeff is the General Manager here at SERVPRO of Ames. He joined our team in 2022. He brings years of experience in Business Development.
In his free time, Jeff enjoys watching freestyle wrestling, spending time with his family, and snowmobiling!
Jeff enjoys working at SERVPRO because he knows we are helping people and making a difference in people's lives in a time of need.
Lori Newhouse
Lori is our Office Manager at SERVPRO. She has over ten years of experience in office operations and customer service. She has spent time in the field as a SERVPRO Tech, which gives her experience in water restoration, fire restoration, demolition, and reconstruction work.
Lori believes in always staying positive and loves to cheer on the team at SERVPRO.
In her free time, she loves hanging out with her family, playing with her dog, and doing DIY projects around the house. She is involved in youth sports and supports animal rehabilitation and rescue.
Jim Hays
Jim is a Business Development Representative here at SERVPRO of Ames. He joined our team in early 2022. He brings years of experience in the sales industry.
In his free time, Jim enjoys biking, spending time with his family, and spending time on the golf course.
Jim enjoys working at SERVPRO because he likes helping people in his community when disaster strikes.
Pat Stilley
Pat is a Recon Coordinator here at SERVPRO of Ames. He brings years of experience in the construction industry.
Outside of work, Pat likes spending time with his 3 kids.
Dalton McMurray
Dalton became a part of our team at SERVPRO of Ames in the middle of 2021. Since then, he has shown remarkable progress and has been promoted to the position of Project Manager. Dalton brings with him extensive experience in customer service and the construction industry, which makes him an indispensable member of our team.
In his free time, Dalton enjoys skateboarding, hitting the gym, working on cars, and spending time with his friends and family.
Dalton loves working at SERVPRO because no 2 days are the same. He likes being able to get out and travel to help everyone as we service a large area.

Don and Carrie came over and checked out my attic after a suspected raccoon break-in. They were very professional even when a bunch of blown-in insulation rained down on them while opening the hatch to the attic. Carrie checked the attic and took pictures. Don told me that the insulation was undisturbed and looked clean. He told me that no clean-up work was required. Before leaving, they cleaned up the insulation that came down. Jeff & his team completed the restoration of our brand new home. The main floor & basement sustained water damage due to plumber's error. Contractor was interested in only patch work. Filed a claim through our homeowners insurance & SERVPRO did the rest. Extremely conscientious team, communicated options & outlined timeline. Communicated with insurance adjuster & kept us informed. They went above & beyond by sending in a cleaning crew in the middle of the project so I could complete a medically required in-home infusion!! As in any building/restoration project scheduling flexibility is a must. We are extremely happy with the plumber, drywall & painter sub contractors provided through SERVPRO, too. Highly recommend SERVPRO of Ames IA.

SERVPRO of Ames did a great job when they came to do my cleaning service. They were very professional and spent hours cleaning up our basement from flooding. They used a hot water machine to get the caked-on dirt out easily. I trusted them being alone in my home once I left. I would, and already have, recommended SERVPRO of Ames to my family and friends!
