Either we will dispatch a member of marketing or a project manager who will begin the restoration process. For marketing, we want to provide you with information to help get you and your family settled. Our project manager will do the initial scope which includes gathering information that gets imported into our proprietary software. Our software then generates a floor map which is marked with the exact location each equipment piece needs to be set. This allows us to stay on the projected timeline by providing us with optimal drying times.
How SERVPRO Restores Water Damage
When a member of our project management team provides the initial scope they are looking at multiple factors. One of the causes of the water damage is storm-related damage or possibly a frozen pipe burst. Another factor they have to consider is the overall possibility of microbial growth which needs to be confirmed by our testing provider, Techtron. Testing allows us to be sure we are fully confident in our water damage restoration by fully restoring it and not putting a band-aid on a bigger problem.

We had SERVPRO of Iowa City clean the house after we found elevated levels of mold spores in our house. It was making my husband very sick. They threw away anything they thought to be at risk of having spores. They fogged the whole house to kill the spores. We now have good air quality in our house and my husband is fine.
