When I called her that evening to see how things were going, I was shocked to hear that her basement had at least an inch of standing water and more was pouring in from the fireplace! That night ice was covering everything, including the roads, and driving was extremely hazardous. I live out in Hillsboro and was unsure what to do. My sister, who lives in SE Portland, was struggling to get chains on her car to see if she could get there to help. I was also impressed with how you made a point of being there when the insurance adjuster came to assess the damages. I feel like you were our knight in shining armor throughout the whole process, and you had my mother's best interests at heart in every aspect of the situation. You really had her back!
