The town of St. Elmo, Tennessee
St. Elmo is a small unincorporated community in Marion County, Tennessee, United States, about twenty miles south of Knoxville and half an hour west of Chattanooga via Interstate 75. St. Elmo is known as the "Strawberry Capital of the World," and holds an annual Strawberry Festival during the last weekend of June each year. The population was 328 as of the 2010 census, but this does not include the numerous college students who live in St. Elmo for school purposes. St. Elmo has been a popular destination for tourists since at least the 1880s, and is known for its quaint downtown area and extensive Civil War-era history.

St. Elmo, Tennessee is a town in southeastern Marion County, Tennessee, United States. It was named after the patron saint of sailors and mariners, Saint Erasmus of Formiae. St. Elmo was established in 1887 by developers James Armstrong, J.L. McFerrin and William Brooks who marketed the community as "The Sanitarium City".
