In 1785, it became part of Washington County until 1800 when it became part of Huntingdon County based on a proposal by Governor Mifflin. Later on, in 1829 and 1839, it again joined with Washington County. Finally in 1843, White became incorporated into a township as one of Pennsylvania's 67 townships. They are a collective of hard workers who love their jobs and the community they live and work in. With a rich heritage, White is one of the oldest towns in Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
