Newmanstown is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Millcreek Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,478 at the 2010 census, up from 1,536 at the 2000 census. Newmanstown was known for Cigar-making. Cigar manufacturing was one of the leading industries of Newmanstown in the later part of the 19th century and at beginning of the 20th century. One most prominent men in the cigar business was W. W. Stewart and sons, starting in 1880. High grade hand-made cigars were made by these firms and distributed throughout the United States. Another industry of Newmanstown was the famous Wallace plows made by Eli Wallace and sons. These cigar manufacturing businesses brought a lot of business to Newmanstown, providing more jobs for the residents.
