Myerstown has a storied and meaningful history that began when German immigrants settled the land in the early 1700's. Over the past three centuries, its residents have built the town into a peaceful place they are proud to call home; a place that is centered around community. Isaac Meier’s grandson Daniel built a log construction home that became a famous landmark in Myerstown. This had been a 100-acre farm with a horse trading business. A lieutenant in the Revolutionary War, Daniel donated land behind the house on Cherry Street for the first United Brethren Church and burial ground. The population was 3,103 at the 2020 Census. It is home to over 100 businesses, including a Bayer manufacturing plant, Farmer Boy Ag, Stoneridge Towne Centre and Wengers of Myerstown.
