The village remains quaint to this day with less than 2,000 residents. First being the Piatt Castles, built in the 1860s and 1870s by brothers Donn and Abram Piatt, these Gothic style castles are open for public tours. Second is the Ohio Caverns, the largest cave system in Ohio featuring many crystal formations giving it the nickname of “America’s Most Colorful Caverns”.
