The City of Streetsboro is a prominent community in Portage County, Ohio. Streetsboro was founded in 1798 by Titus Street in Connecticut. The primary industry in 1800’s was Dairying on local farms. Along with Streetsboro’s dairy industry, cheese factories were established throughout Streetsboro township and by 1885 the township had five factories up and running. Because of Streetsboro’s history of steady growth, today the city has become a retail hub for Portage County.
June brings a great deal of excitement to Streetsboro as the city begins preparations for the Annual Streetsboro Ohio Family Days. This city-wide event includes four days of free concerts from big name entertainment. Families come from all over Portage County, Summit County, and Geauga County to enjoy summer fun.
