Route 9 itself has every store and shop you can think of, from car dealerships to grocery stores to boutique retail and big-box stores too. On the other side of the village is the well known Bowdoin Park, a 300 acre park located on the banks of the Hudson River. Great views of the river, picnic pavilions, a splash pad in the summer months and plenty of year-round events make this a common place to visit!
With its location down a steep embankment and the ease of heavy wind gusts coming through, Wappingers Falls has experienced several severe storms and hurricanes causing damage to many properties that required water damage restoration.
