What Is the Mold Remediation Process?
Air Filtration
Our specialized filtration equipment allows our professionals to capture microscopic mold spores out of the air. We utilize powerful “air scrubbers” and HEPA vacuums to prevent the spread of these mold spores while the mold remediation is in process.
Removing Mold and Mold-Infested Materials
We use antifungal and antimicrobial treatments to treat mold colonies. When necessary to remediate heavy mold growth, our mold removal process includes the removal and disposal of mold-infested porous materials such as carpeting, drywall, and insulation.
Cleaning
Our professionals clean the structural elements that were infected by mold such as flooring, framing, fixtures, HVAC and mechanical systems. We will also work to improve the indoor air quality (IAQ) of the space. Other items may also require extra attention after a mold infestation, including curtains, décor and important documents.
Restoration
Depending on the level of mold damage, drywall, subfloors, and other building materials may be removed. Restoration may involve minor repairs, such as replacing drywall, painting, and installing new carpet. It may entail major repairs such as the reconstruction of various areas or rooms in your home.
Emergency Contact
The mold cleanup and restoration process begins when you call us. Our specialist will ask a series of questions to help us determine the necessary equipment, resources, and personnel needed for you and your home.
Inspection and Mold Damage Assessment
Our professionals will carefully inspect your property for visible signs of mold. Using a variety of technologies, we can detect mold and locate any hidden water sources so the mold will not return once the area is cleaned and the mold removal process has been completed.
Mold Containment
We use various containment procedures to prevent the spread and cross-contamination of mold. All fans and heating and cooling systems will be turned off to prevent the spread as our professionals work to mitigate your mold problem.

Residential Mold Removal
Mold can come from many sources, including on clothing, pets, through open doors and windows, and because of excessive moisture, often in the aftermath of water damage. When it enters your home and begins to cause mold problems, it’s in your best interest to have professional mold remediation performed to help ensure safety and effectiveness.
Our professionals are equipped to assess the mold and provide remediation services, using advanced equipment and techniques to help ensure its source is located, and the mold is remediated. Given its potential to cause allergens and irritants that may cause health effects, our services will help maintain your peace of mind while our professionals work to clean up the mold as quickly as possible.
Commercial Mold Remediation
Mold can enter your business in a variety of ways. Once spotted, it’s important you contact a cleanup and restoration company like SERVPRO as soon as possible. Given its ability to spread in 72 hours or less, and the possibility of allergens and irritants that may cause health effects as a result, time is of the essence when mold spreads in your business or commercial property.
We understand the urgency of returning your business to functioning condition, given that every hour of closed business is an hour of lost production and revenue. Take the necessary steps to help protect your customers, employees, and the health of your business by having our team assess and remediate any mold damage that may have grown in your commercial space.

About Us
Our Story
Hi, we’re Kim and Randy Williams, the new owners of SERVPRO of Iredell County!
Although we took ownership of the franchise in late 2019, we’ve operated SERVPRO franchises in neighboring counties for more than a decade. In 2009, we purchased our first SERVPRO location in Lenoir, NC. We started with only 3 employees, and it was a while before we had our first customer. But we accepted every job and treated our customers with empathy and respect.
In 2011, we were able to buy SERVPRO of Burke County, and in 2015, we purchased the two franchises in Catawba County. By 2019, when we celebrated our 10th anniversary, we had more than 60 employees serving Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, and Catawba Counties, and we have continued to grow our team.
Even though we’ve occasionally served in Iredell County in the past, we’re excited to officially expand into Statesville, Mooresville, and the surrounding areas. We bring our experiences, great customer service, and a commitment to be involved in the community.
Our employees are available 24/7/365 to meet the disaster restoration needs of Iredell County. We are here to help and make any size disaster “Like it never even happened.”
Our Employees
Our mission is to develop a team of quality people who focus on excellent service, fairness, and mutual respect. We believe this focus has largely led to our success and will continue to do so for years to come.
In addition to a rigorous hiring process, we put a lot of emphasis on training—both individually and as a team. We are a Clean Trust Certified Firm through the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), and we require all of our crew chiefs and above to be certified technicians!
All of our employees are uniformed, energetic, and ready to respond to emergencies. Because we own four additional franchises and are part of a nationwide system of qualified franchises, no damage is too large or too small for our team of SERVPRO heroes!
Our Services
We offer a wide range of services to home and business owners in Iredell County. Our local services include, but are not limited to: fire and smoke damage cleanup, water damage restoration, mold remediation, biohazard cleanup, HVAC cleaning, and much more.
We are certified as a large loss restoration team (LLRT) through SERVPRO corporate, which certifies our ability to handle large-scale disasters. For example, in the last few years, we have performed emergency cleanup and restoration services for Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, Valley Hills Mall, South Park Mall in Charlotte, Hildebran Town Hall, and Bernhardt Furniture in Lenoir.
We have also deployed teams to clean up after natural disasters such as Superstorm Sandy, the floods of Chicago, and the devastation of our east coast by Hurricane Florence.
We are a preferred vendor for large insurance companies and participate by invitation in structured vendor programs and contracts.
Our State-of-the-Art Equipment
Our top-tier team comes to each job equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. We have hundreds of units of equipment, and we are constantly expanding our inventory.
We operate an on-site textile cleaning facility, which has commercial washers, dryers, and an Esporta cleaning system (capable of restoring over 85% of items previously considered non-restorable).
We also have a warehouse for recovering items damaged by fire and smoke. This warehouse homes ultrasonic equipment, an ozone room, and a heated drying chamber to properly dry materials. The ultrasonic allows us to clean items that previously would have been claimed unsalvageable!
Community Involvement
We believe it’s important to serve our community beyond our cleanup and restoration services; we encourage our employees to become involved in community activities and groups. We are active participants in community events such as the NC Fire and Safety Bowl competition, local festivals, and parades. We also support and participate in local causes that benefit schools, first responders, and charitable community organizations.
We also strive to educate our clients and customers through continuing education classes offered quarterly at no cost, as well as periodic “lunch and learns” to highlight our services.
Accreditations
We make sure that we provide the best results for our customers, so we obtained the following qualifications:
- Lead Renovation Certified Firm
- Clean Trust Certified Firm (IICRC)
- NADCA member with ASCS on staff
- NC licensed general contractors with unlimited license
- Accredited by Better Business Bureau with no complaints on file to date
- Large Loss Restoration Team (through SERVPRO corporate)
