Welcome to Eureka! Located just North of Goldsboro, Eureka is home to the historic Eureka United Methodist Church, which has been on the historic registry since 1982. Eureka is a quiet town rich in agriculture and bonded with family values. In January of 1961, a B-52 crashed in a nearby cotton field, with it's two live atom bombs landing separately. Had they exploded, the estimated death zone would have been 17 miles. There is an historical marker nearby titled "Nuclear Mishap".
