DeMotte, Indiana is named after Civil War veteran Mark DeMotte who served as the first lieutenant with the Indiana Light Artillery. He founded and was first dean of what was known as Valparaiso University School of Law.
DeMotte's Spencer Park is home to the Depot Museum, a hands on, real train caboose filled with photos, articles, and memorabilia regarding the importance of trains in the history of DeMotte and Jasper County. I am a Project Superintendent with a large construction management firm and was finishing up an Assisted Living project. In one of the 2nd Fl. Wing ceilings, a water pipe fitting failed, causing a flood in the hallway and floor below. Of course, this happened at 3:30 pm, and I needed access the damage, and clean up quickly because there were already tenants living there. I remember using SERVPRO years before and decided to give them a call. They were on site within an hour and started immediately to clean up water damage, open walls and removed wet insulation, set up fans, and dehumidifiers. SERVPRO worked into the evening and did not leave a stone unturned.
Due to their fast response, water damage was minimal, and we were able to repair, patch and paint within a few days. Their price was reasonable, they were very professional and I know I will gladly call SERVPRO again should the need arise.
This was an extremely difficult time for our family to deal with & this team was nothing short of extremely caring and courteous to our family. Ther kept me informed at work & Jarid ensured that my sitter/mother-in-law were comfortable & my son was safe. They interacted with everyone & really exude exceptional customer service.
Sara and Sam were amazing! They took the time to talk us thru everything they were doing. The way Sara, Sam and the rest of the staff worked was the best I’ve seen! Attentive, on time, very thorough and communication was great! I didn’t want them to leave. The owners even checked in on us- SERVPRO for the win!!
