Wapello, Iowa is a community of approximately 2,000 citizens. Wapello is named after a Meskwaki chief and was platted in the late 1830's. It serves as the county seat of Louisa County. It is located on the west side of the Iowa River.
Wapello is home to several manufacturing facilities, which includes S&J Tube and Tri-State Envelope, just to name a few.
Wapello is also home to the Wapello Pro Rodeo. It is one of a kind in that is the only rodeo in the nation fully operated by a high school organization, the Wapello FFA.

Last summer we had a large wind storm come through our hometown. We had a lot of roof damage and some windows that broke. We were very upset and didn't know who to even call to help us out until our insurance company suggested SERVPRO. They were there within a couple of hours, boarded our windows up, tarped our roof and fixed a few other little things around the outside of our home that the storm damaged. We were so happy with their quick response time and how they made us feel so safe and comfortable with the work they performed for us. Would recommend to anyone!
