There is only one city in the world named Toccoa. Nestled in among the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northeast Georgia, Toccoa is thriving city with much to offer in community as well as entrepreneurship such as ours that offers Fire damage, Water damage and Mold damage restoration.
Toccoa means "beautiful" in the Cherokee language and is derived from the Cherokee term for "where the Catawbas lived." During the Mississippi period, the Tugaloo villages nearby were a crossroads of Native American peoples which also thrived in this wonderful countryside.
The Stephens County Historical Museum offers a glimpse into the area's past which is full of interesting and colorful hometown folks including Olympian Paul Anderson, world record holder for the "Strongest Man."
The Currahee Military Museum inside the Toccoa depot is devoted to the soldiers who trained at Camp Toccoa these men were made famous by the HBO series Band of Brothers. Now having expanded to offer a real look at the original barracks, it is definetly worth any traveler stopping in to see some of our military history.
Toccoa was also home for decades to the R.G. LeTourneau company which made large earthmoving equipment. Over 90% of the earth movers used by American forces during World War 2 were made by LeTourneau company, which paved the way for continued industrial manufacturing and growth all these recent years.
One of Toccoas most beautiful features is Toccoa Falls. At 186 feet high, Toccoa Falls is one of the tallest (taller than Niagara Falls) freefalling waterfalls east of the Mississippi. Located on the campus of Toccoa Falls College, an independent, nonprofit educational institution situated on a beautiful 1,100 acre wooded campus, offering a Christ-centered education.

Our 20 year old carpet throughout the house was in TERRIBLE shape!! We have dogs & cats and there were different kinds of stains ALL over the place!! The two men came, gave me a very reasonable quote and then went to work. I was in complete awe (and shock!) when they were finished & I saw what they were able to do in just a few hours!! The stains were gone, the bad odor was gone, the carpet almost looked brand new. Ryan & James were SO professional and extremely thoughtful (my mother is elderly and has Dementia). They were so accommodating with her, making sure she was comfortable with what was going on the whole time. They are class-act men that make the Royston location a better place because they work there!
And Vanessa...I can’t say enough about her kindness! (I had to call & reschedule my appointment several times). She was SO understanding and patient with me every time!
I will no doubt, 100%, be calling SERVPRO again for EVERY need we may have with our carpet, upholstery cleaning, etc.
