The area of Brooklyn, Florida was first settled in 1801 by a man named Phillip Dell. What is known today as Brooklyn, FL started an 800-acre plantation named Dell's Bluff. Dell's Bluff was bought and sold many times prior to the Civil War. After the war, it was acquired by a man named Miles Price, who sold the southern half of the property. This area was developed as a residential suburb named Riverside. The northern section Mr. Price retained for his own development. This area he named Brooklyn.
Even though Brooklyn, Florida is it's own neighborhood of Jacksonville, it is still considered part of the downtown area. During the 20th century, many commercial properties began to emerge in the area. Most of these properties were built along St. Johns River and Riverside Avenue. Brooklyn has become the site of many new developments including the Brooklyn Station (which is home to restaurants and shopping), Unity Plaza, and the Northbank Riverwalk. As a melting pot of cultures and races, Brooklyn is a proud of its vast heritage, and eager to welcome new visitors to discover it!

Fire from a malfunctioning gas fireplace covered my condo in thick, sticky soot. The smell was the worst. The SERVPRO team cleaned up the black gunk and used a thermal fogger to deal with the odor. Clean and fresh! Don’t know how you do it.
