What Is the Mold Remediation Process?
Air Filtration
Our specialized filtration equipment allows our professionals to capture microscopic mold spores out of the air. We utilize powerful “air scrubbers” and HEPA vacuums to prevent the spread of these mold spores while the mold remediation is in process.
Removing Mold and Mold-Infested Materials
We use antifungal and antimicrobial treatments to treat mold colonies. When necessary to remediate heavy mold growth, our mold removal process includes the removal and disposal of mold-infested porous materials such as carpeting, drywall, and insulation.
Cleaning
Our professionals clean the structural elements that were infected by mold such as flooring, framing, fixtures, HVAC and mechanical systems. I made the mistake of using a more "local" mold remediation company when I first moved into my house over a year ago. As I was doing some recent remodeling, I noticed some further mold issues and called SERVPRO this time.
I really, really wish I had used SERVPRO for the initial work. Jitka and her team are extremely professional, reliable, and prompt. Her team knows their job, and they do it well. With the more "local" company, I would get stressed out having to deal with almost managing the project as the business owner didn't have a great team on site all the time.
With SERVPRO, I had no such issues. They came in, scoped it out, and got started the same day.
When they came back and reinspected, they found the moisture level wasn't down far enough to their liking, so they left the dehumidifiers and air scrubbers in for a few more days without renegotiating the contract value, so they definitely want to do right by their customers.
These are my go-to team for anything related to mold.
