Old Town is one of the oldest neighborhoods of San Diego. It is centered between Interstate 8 on the north, Interstate 5 on the west, Mission Hills on the east, and Bankers Hill on the south. The State of California Department of Parks and Recreation established Old Town Historic Park in 1969 to preserve San Diego’s period between 1821 and 1872.
