The beautiful city of Albertville, Alabama was established in 1891. Seated at the crossroads of Sand Mountain close to the center of Marshall County, this city is family friendly and lovingly referred to as “The Heart of Sand Mountain.” Here you can see expansion and modern architecture, but a drive through downtown (specifically Main Street) will give you a slice of historical old-world charm. Albertville is well known for the annual Main Street Music Festival which was formerly held on actual Main Street. An interesting fact, outside the Albertville Chamber of Commerce sits a chrome fire hydrant. The reason behind this unusual fire hydrant is to commemorate the one millionth fire hydrant produced at Mueller, located in this great city. Now, Albertville holds the title of “Fire Hydrant Capital of the World.”
