Allouez, Wisconsin is a well-known village in Brown County, located between Bellevue and De Pere. The area was named after Pere Claude Allouez, who was a French Catholic missionary that migrated to the area in 1671. The village was not actually named until 1874, when Allouez separated from the town of Bellevue.

What separates Allouez from nearby towns, cities, or villages, is the numerous parks in the area. The largest and arguably most popular park is Green Isle Park, that holds a baseball diamond, softball diamond, tennis courts, an open field, and a newly upgraded playground, as well as a small, indoor gathering center. Not to mention that the East River Trail spirals right through the park, and the village of Allouez as a whole. Speaking of parks, Allouez is also home to one of Wisconsin’s most interactive state historical parks, with Heritage Hill. This famed location in Northeast Wisconsin spans 54 acres with 26 original and reconstructed buildings of historical and cultural significance. Heritage Hill is also guided by their dedicated 15 Board of Director members, made up of either active or retired employees of companies in the Green Bay area.
