Lake Stevens Water Damage and Fire Damage Restoration
Lake Stevens is named for the lake it surrounds. The lake was named in 1859 after Isaac Stevens, the territorial governor at the time. A settlement began in 1889. Economic activity in the area began with a sawmill that operated from 1907 until it burned down in 1925. Over the subsequent years, the community transformed into a resort community and later into a commuter town in the 1970s. The town was incorporated in 1960.
The City of Lake Stevens council meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month, beginning at 6 p.m. January’s meetings are planned for the 14th and 28th. The city calendar lists all associated city-related meetings.
The Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce supports various events. The 2nd Annual Lake Steven’s Comedy Night Out is planned for February 2025 at the Community Food Bank, 8021 20th St SE. More information is available here.
The Lake Stevens Library runs a variety of programs and information sessions. Events such as Preschool Storytime with Zoey and Baby Storytime with Gabe are planned for January 14th and 15th, respectively.
