Concrete Water Damage Restoration and Fire Damage Repair
The town of Concrete saw the earliest settlers move into the area in 1890 and was initially named Baker. Across the Baker River, another town was named Cement City after the Washington Portland Cement Company. The two towns merged in 1908 and became known as Concrete. Residents enjoy many activities in the area at one of the parks – Lions Community Park, Drake Park, and Silo Park or climbing Mount Baker.
The Concrete Herald Community Calendar lists many events taking place in the town. The Concrete Ghost Walk is planned on Saturdays in October from 7 to 9 pm. Tickets must be purchased in advance. The Skagit City School offers “Coledale: A Failed Dream” on October 20 from 2 to 4 pm in Mount Vernon. Don’t miss the Halloween Party and Trunk or Treat at the Concrete Town Center beginning at 5 pm on October 31.
The Concrete Chamber of Commerce helps sponsor many events in town. The Christmas Parade, Tree Lighting, and Santa Party are set for December 7. Watch the parade beginning at 6 pm.
The Concrete Town Council meets twice monthly, beginning at 6 pm. Check their calendar for dates and times. October meetings are planned for the 14th and 28th.
