Sachse is a friendly and welcoming community, named as one of the best places to live in Dallas. Sachse offers a rural feel, with many parks and a wonderful library.  Sachse is east of Dallas, residing in both Collin and Dallas counties. The City of Sachse is named after William Sachse who purchased 640 acres in 1845. Sachse later gave 100 feet of frontage to the railroad to build a depot which was labeled Saxie.  The spelling was later corrected to Sachse which comes from the German word for Saxon.
