Fate is a family friendly community with great schools.  Fate has a cozy small town feel with a slower pace. Fate is just outside the big city, only 4 miles to Rockwall and 28 miles from Dallas, located in the center in Rockwall County.  Fate was incorporated in 1900 and was the first town in Texas to have a rural mail route, designated as Route 3 in 1901.

Fate has several great parks with playgrounds and picnic tables such as Joe Burger Park, Fate Colonial Park and Robert Smith Family Park. Robert Smith Family Park also offers a fitness court, disc golf, splash pad, basketball court, pickleball courts, and soccer and baseball fields.
