Silver Point, TN is mostly scattered around the intersection of Tennessee State Route 141, Tennessee State Route 56, and Interstate 40, about halfway between Cookeville and Smithville. Here you’ll find Edgar Evins State Park, This beautiful 6,000-acre park is situated along the wooded and hilly northern end of the 18,000-acre reservoir. Located on an impounded stretch of the scenic Caney Fork River, this landscape is populated by owls, hawks, eagles, forest songbirds, deer, turkey, as well as an abundance of butterflies. In fact, according to Tennessee State Parks, of the 139 or so butterfly species found in the state, an incredible 57 of those species can be found at Edgar Evins.

Recently my studio roof caved in due to heavy rains. Rotted wood and insulation was everywhere. The insurance company sent in a team from SERVPRO of Cookeville and they quickly cleaned up the mess and set up heaters and fans to dry the room. I felt as if family members were there to help.
