When Water, Fire, and Storm Damage Happens in Portland, We're Ready.

Whether you're looking for restoration, cleaning or construction services in Portland, we're here to help 24/7.

Portland Tennessee is located in both Sumner and Robertson Counties. The population is over 13,000 and is known as the strawberry capital of Tennessee. Portland hosts a large strawberry festival every year. This is a great event for people of all ages and is a great way to get involved in the community. Its also the hometown of NBA champion Corey Brewer and about 40 miles north of Nashville. Portland is a great mix of urban growth and classic farm land. If you are looking for a company to take care of your water damage make sure they are properly trained and have all the right equipment. Here is some qualities a reputable restoration company should have.

Company should have updated website

The first way to quickly get a feel of a company is to visit their website. In 2021 it's mandatory to have an updated and active website. If the restoration company you are thinking abut calling has an old website, or no website at all, id highly recommend using a different company.

Response time is key

For the most part, all restoration companies use they same type of equipment and have similar processes. What separates the good ones from the bad ones is response time. For example, during a water damage the company that can get out there the fastest and stabilize the damage will save you the most money. A restoration company with a fast response time should be mandatory.

Must have certifications

For restoration professionals, this is the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC). IICRC-approved schools have trained up restoration professionals for years, and its classes cover a range of topics pertinent to restoration technicians. This includes the theory of water damage, how it affects the home, what materials are at risk, how to remove excess moisture from the building, how to perform structural drying properly, how to inspect and remove pathogens, and how to save sensitive materials like wooden floors. Attaining certification through the IICRC requires hard work and an ongoing commitment to the field, as registrants must earn continuing education credits annually. Homeowners can rest assured that if they are dealing with a certified crew, they are dealing with some of the best in the business.

What our
Portland customers are saying

First-time homeowner here, and these Tennessee downpours this year have definitely shown us some of the unexpected pains and stresses that come with owning a home! We experienced a decent amount of flooding in our sunroom, and that’s when we called SERVPRO. Dylan came out and spent a lot of time walking around our home to really understand what was happening and where the water had impacted the house. Once we got everything scheduled, Tyler and Cole came out and worked so cleanly and efficiently to take care of the mold caused by the water damage. We had to have some drywall removed, and Tyler did a fantastic job making precise cuts so everything will be as seamless as possible when we reinstall the drywall. The entire process was handled quickly, professionally, and with so much care. A huge thank you to Dylan, Tyler, Cole, Eryn, and Anna for making a stressful situation so much easier for us!

Servpro was incredible to work with. Couple shout outs, Josh, Michelle, JZ, and James! There were many other great folks but I unfortunately can’t remember all their names. They were professional, courteous, and most importantly focused on ensuring everything looked like it never happened. Lowe’s delivery flooded our laundry room and downstairs bathroom. Servpro got out quickly with dehumidifiers and were constantly checking in and ensuring everything was taken care of but that we also were educated on the process. I highly recommend them if you have any water, fire damage etc

Recently had Servpro help us out with a major water leak disaster, which required a dry-out period, new drywall, and a new paint job. The point of contact, James Witcher, and Jon Zwart were total pros and had endless patience with our questions and concerns. Highly recommended.

We had a leak from our washing machine into our first floor ceiling, and SERVPRO responded very quickly. Jon Zwart and James Witcher were extremely helpful and courteous throughout the whole reconstruction process and definitely made things a lot easier to handle. They were very responsive to emails and texts and did a great job keeping us informed about everything that was being done. James made several visits to the house and made sure we were happy with the progress being made and sent a cleaning crew who did a great job cleaning our entire first floor. This was the biggest issue we've ever had with our house, and James and Jon definitely made everything feel manageable and not so overwhelming. They exceeded my expectations!

After experiencing a water line break in our home during the January 26' ice storm, we chose SERVPRO to restore our house back to "normal!" Our initial reason is because the SHOWED UP! The company my insurance recommended could not even provide a guaranteed date to start mitigation... When I reached out to Servpro, they immediately responded even with high volume of requests they were receiving due to the winter event. A team was sent from the Knoxville, led by Jason W., to support our needs and began the tear out/dry out process in a timely manner. From initial contact, everyone on the crew was super professional and 100% focused on working efficiently while documenting thoroughly what would be needed to restore our property. Once the initial mitigation and dry out was completed, Servpro of Sumner Country stepped into the project. I asked Servpro to handle the reconstruction as I was impressed with the professionalism, transparency and detailed approach with the initial part of the claim and restoration. It was at this time we were introduced to Jon (JZ), our Construction PM. I left that introduction and preliminary walk through with a sense of calmness and relief knowing that we were in good hands. He explained the process with ease and what steps would be taken to allow us to return back to our home. JZ then began the process of negotiating with our insurance on the scope and estimated cost of our claim. The team at Servpro are excellent at communicating every step via email, texting and timely phone calls. I truly felt that he partnered with us to make sure that our best interest was promoted during restoration. He fought to make sure that our property was restored completely. Once the insurance agreed to the scope of the project, we had our precon meeting and then the work began within 3 days!!! Our contact at Servpro for this phase of the project was identified as James W. James stepped in as was ready to go like he had been on our project from day one. James along with the crew from Sparrow began the work immediately and with just a few days passing we saw very quick work. They gave us a timeline of approximately 3 weeks for completion. While there was a slight delay in completion, it was not due to any actions of the crew. the replacement vanity for our bathroom arrived with minor damage. James notified the vendor immediately and arranged for the replacement item to be ordered. Once all work was completed, James and the crew were very accommodating and attentive to making sure all final punch list/walk through items were address in a very timely manner. I cannot say enough about how Jason, JZ and James put both my wife and I at ease by exhibiting professionalism, confidence in their company's workmanship and simple southern charm. It was a blessing to have them take care of our family during this time of chaos!!! No one wants to go through this type of situation... but, if you have to, do it with Servpro at your side! From: A very happy family that is thankful to be back in their home!!!
