Because the railroad was such an integral part of Erin's beginning, the Betsy Ligon Park in the downtown area is a special place in the hearts of Houston County residents. Many of the community’s events are held at Betsy Ligon Park including Relay for Life, Toys for Tots, Irish Day Events, 4th of July Celebrations and the Lighting of the Town Christmas Tree. The Limestone Quarry located off Main Street and Metcalf Drive in Erin is a lovely four acres. In the 1940s while mining for limestone, workers hit a spring. Local legend is that workers were barely able to get out before the area flooded, leaving their equipment behind. In 2013, three scuba divers were permitted to explore the area and they found no man-made structures left from the mining operation. Erin is also known for their Irish day held on the 3rd saturday in march, bringing the local area together to have some great family fun and games and food. After Hurricane Harvey my in laws house was flooded and due to inability to get back in for a week mold had begun. As soon as we could get in we called SERVPRO as the handled a minor flooding for us in the past and I knew they were a good company. They took our contact info and got a team out from out of state within 2 days in spite of the extreme devastation in Houston. They did an excellent job on cleaning the flooding and mold in the house and furnishings without us having to be there. They were thorough and very good with communication on the status of the clean up. I would definitely use them again should the need arise and I highly recommend their work, professionalism and communication throughout the horrible ordeal of the hurricane aftermath. They were there when we needed them!

I hired SERVPRO to clean my mom's carpet. Her carpet is old and lost its nap.
