Camden, the seat of Benton County, rests practically on the shores of Kentucky Lake, an impoundment of the Tennessee River. This is a bustling small town where business, industry, tourism and agriculture form a well balanced economy. The surrounding countryside is a patchwork of fertile farms and fields of grazing livestock.
Camden is served by State Highway 69 as well as U.S. Highways 70 and 641. Kentucky Lake is a recreational paradise with great boating, tubing and canoeing and awesome fishing for crappie, bluegill, catfish and lots of bass. Golf aficionados will want to visit the Magic Valley Golf Course, the Tennessean Golf Club and, the Paris Landing State Park Golf Course. Camden was established in 1836 and was named after Camden, South Carolina. During the Civil War, the loyalty in Camden and much of Benton County laid primarily with the Confederacy, although a Unionist element was also present.
In November of 1864, Confederate troops under the command of General Nathan Bedford Forrest destroyed the Union supply depot at Johnsonville. It was because of this event that, in the 1930s, the Civilian Conservation Corps expanded upon a local historic park at Pilot Knob to create the Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park. After Hurricane Harvey my in laws house was flooded and due to inability to get back in for a week mold had begun. As soon as we could get in we called SERVPRO as the handled a minor flooding for us in the past and I knew they were a good company. They took our contact info and got a team out from out of state within 2 days in spite of the extreme devastation in Houston. They did an excellent job on cleaning the flooding and mold in the house and furnishings without us having to be there. They were thorough and very good with communication on the status of the clean up. I would definitely use them again should the need arise and I highly recommend their work, professionalism and communication throughout the horrible ordeal of the hurricane aftermath. They were there when we needed them!

I hired SERVPRO to clean my mom's carpet. Her carpet is old and lost its nap.
