Hollywood is a town in Charleston County, South Carolina right off of the Wadmalaw River. As of 2020, there were about 5,000 residents, 2,000 households, and 1,400 families. It is considered part of the Charleston South Carolina Metropolitan Area and the Charleston-North Charleston Urbanized Area. The weather in Hollywood is similar to that of other places along the coast in South Carolina. The highs in winter are around 60 and the highs in the summer are around 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

History of Charleston, South Carolina

Now known as the largest city in South Carolina, it used to be known as one of the least healthy locations within the 13 colonies because of various disease outbreaks that occurred in the early days. Before 1719, the town was known as Charles Town, but began being written and accepted as "Charlestown." Up until 1732, it was the southern tip of the colonies when Georgia was established.
