One little known, long standing Rhode Island tradition has been at the Yawgoog Scout Reservation in Hopkinton, RI. For more than 100 years the camp has hosted thousands of scouts from up and down the east coast every summer as it is one of the most popular summer camps for scouts. This part of the town is just close enough to the coast to see slightly milder winter weather than the northern part of the state.
