Skiing in Rhode Island?!? Exeter, Rhode Island, located about 20 miles north of Rhode Island’s south coast and about 5 miles west of Narragansett Bay is home to Washington County RI’s only Ski Park at Yawgoo Valley Ski Area & Water Park. Exeter is a rural area and features several lakefront living areas, as well as State Parks & Preserves. Interstate I95 runs directly through Exeter making the town a nice place for commuters looking for quick access to the highway.
Rural living in Exeter means large lot sizes as the area requires most new homes to be built on at least one acre of land.
