A group of Eagles Mere property owners incorporated the Eagles Mere Association as a PA non-profit corporation, which occurred in 1961. This allowed the association to acquire stock of the Eagles Mere Land Company and Eagles Mere Boat Company. With the acquisition of these companies, it allowed the association to own Eagles Mere Lake, including additional Eagles Mere property, the outlet pond and a strip of land around the lake. When all this was said and done Eagles Mere Lake is a private and not open to the general public. The lake and its surrounding property and facilities are exclusively for the use of association members and their guests. The top place to stay while at Eagles Mere is the Eagles Mere Inn, which is located at the center of the historic Eagles mere Village. The Inn eas built in 1887 and most recently updated in 2021. Eagles Mere is to be considered the “last unspoiled resort” for families and more to vacation at.
