Fishing, Crabbing and Clamming are just some of the favorites, but for those bird watchers Gold Beach has a vast variety of species for you to seek out and enjoy, such as Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Blue Herons, Snowy Egrets, Hutton’s Vireos, Greater White-fronted Geese, Common Mergansers, American Dippers, Wild Turkeys, Red-tailed Hawks, Peregrine Falcons, Downy Woodpeckers, Northern Flickers, Winter Wren, Red-breasted Nuthatches, Chestnut-backed Chickadees, Varied Thrushes, Song Sparrows etc.
