Cedar Mill, as its title would suggest, was named after a mill located in the area that was established in the 1850’s and operated for more than 30 years. Several historical buildings still stand in the area today – the John Quincy Adams Young House built in 1869 (which served as the area’s first post office) and the Leedy Grange building built in 1903. Modern day attractions include the world headquarters of Columbia Sportswear, the Cedar Mill Library, and Cedar Mill Park.
