Brick is a large down with a population a little over 73,000. We have multiple parks and they each offer something different for our community. Lake Riviera Park on Lake Shore Drive has basketball courts, a beach, fishing pier and playgrounds with a gazebo. Bernard J. Cooke Park offers a skate park, basketball court, playgrounds, and a bicycle training area. Windward Beach Park of the lower Metedeconk River is on Princeton Avenue Beach and offers restrooms, bocce courts, gazebo, playgrounds and fishing piers. Right next to the park is The Metedeconk River Yacht Club that hosts the annual Jet Star Regatta that was started in the aftermath of “Superstorm” Sandy to pay respect to the communities of the barrier island that had been deeply damaged during the October 2012 hurricane and to demonstrate the resilience of the Jersey Shore sailing community. The Jet Star Regatta was founded by families who were displaced by the impact of the storm. Forge Pond has songbirds, water snakes, swans, box and painted turtles and huge snapping turtles If you bring a baddleboard, on a nice day you can paddle under the Route 70 bridge and onto the river.
