Pierce Cleanup and Restoration

Pierce was platted in 1871, and a courthouse was erected that same year. Pierce County, the name honors President Franklin Pierce. The city became a point of international interest in 2013 due to the Lambrecht auto auction, at which nearly 500 classic cars were put up for sale. The Lambrecht Chevrolet Collection of Classic and Collector Cars saved away by the dealership. The Lambrecht Auto Auction was held on September 28th in 2013. The Cameo Chevy Truck came out of the building with only 1 mile on it. The City of Pierce, Nebraska is a rural farming community located 15 miles northwest of Norfolk along NE Highway 13. Pierce’s Gilman Park was established in 1993 and encompasses 14 acres around Bill Cox Memorial Lake. Speaking of lakes, you have to check out Willow Creek State Recreation Area covering 1633 acers, with ever popular camping, anglers, picnickers, and hunters.
