Gray Summit, Missouri, also called Gray’s Summit, is a small, unincorporated community in Franklin County, Missouri, just five miles west of Pacific. Founded by Daniel Gray of New York after he built a hotel in 1845. The term “summit” refers to the highest point of the Missouri Pacific Railroad between St. Louis and Jefferson City.
