Fair Grove also nicknamed the Old Mill Town is located 14 miles north of Springfield, Missouri on Highway 65. There are many great features to see in this historic community, at the center of the town is the 1883 Wommack Mill, also called the Boegel and Hine Flour Mill, the mill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the stone-burr grist mill was built in 1883; and was used primarily as a steam sawmill until it was converted to a flour mill, it is the town’s oldest standing structure. Each fall the Fair Grove Heritage Reunion is held the last weekend of September and the historic Mill is at the center of the festivities.
