The city of Chillicothe is located in the heart of Northwest Missouri at the junction of Highway 65 and Highway 36. Citizens from nearby counties visit the town frequently for community events, festivals and entertainment. There is a large cinema that works closely with the school and youth groups to provide quality entertainment for the entire family. Near the theater is the local bowling ally that houses Jersey's bar and grill an fan favorite for locals. There is a very successful YMCA that provides programs for all ages year around. There is no shortage of delicious food options. The towns two golf courses stay packed in the warmer months and offer several fundraising events for the community. Their parks are well maintained and their Christmas Display of lights is one that is visited by the entire county plus some. It provides quality drive through entertainment for the whole family. They are located 90 miles northeast of Kansas City and at the intersection of U.S. Highways 36 & 65.
