Benton Park is a neighborhood on the southside of St. LouisMissouri, just west of the Soulard neighborhood.

Originally named City Park, the park was later renamed after Thomas Hart Benton, the first U.S. Senator representing the people of Missouri. As the neighborhood grew, it attracted several breweries due to its location above a system of caves that were ideal for beer storage, or "lagering" in German, as many of the popular German styles require. The caves maintain a constant 55-degree temperature that is ideal for beer storage. Today, all of the cave entrances are sealed. One such cave, the McHose & English Cave, is said to run underneath Benton Park to the Lemp Brewery, several blocks to the southeast. The Lemp Brewery was one of the most notable of the city's breweries which is no longer in operation.

Notable landmarks is the Lemp Neighborhood Art Center bringing a comprehensive orchestral music education program to the youth of the City of St. Louis. In 2008 he worked with a small group of Vista volunteers and musicians to create the Lemp Artists Mentoring Program, LAMP for short.

On July 15, 2013, Southeast Missouri State University experiences the unthinkable, a fire at Dempster Hall, home to the Donald L, Harrison College of Business. Without hesitation, the SERVPRO Disaster Recovery Team was on site to help assess the damage  and guide the Facilities Management staff through the recovery process.

SERVPRO, with guidance from the Facilities Management staff, hired local sub-contractors to assist with the recovery effort. The cooperation and team effort between all parties involved proved to be successful as the recovery effort of roughly 117,000 sq.ft. was completed in a 6 week period, allowing the University to open the facility on time for Fall Semester. 

The highly trained and very professional SERVPRO staff went above and beyond their job responsibilities to ensure that all areas of the facility were cleaned and repaired to the satisfaction of Southeast Missouri State.. The job performance and attention to detail by the SERVPRO staff exceeded the expectations of their slogan "Like it never happened."

On behalf of Southeast Missouri State University, the faculty, staff and students, we would like to thank SERVPRO for the excellent job done to ensure that Dempster Hall was restored to its original state, allowing the University to open the doors in the short time frame required.

WOW! This location is THE BEST! I had an issue with water damage in September. After I called, they arrived to my house within the hour! They came out around 1am to do clean up. Hank Z. and Brandon were amazing!!! They cleaned everything up so well, efficiently, and they answered all of my questions. Hank even gave me his card if I had anymore questions. They left about 8 fans for the weekend to dry the carpet completely. You couldn't even tell anything had happened after they left! The best part was their customer service. Mike was my contact for billing questions and such. He was helpful, attentive, and very personable. He was able to call me back almost immediately or even shoot a quick text if need be. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. If you want the job done right, professionally, and a quick response time to calls....look no further! I am a new homeowner, so this was very stressful for me, but SERVPRO eased my concerns. Totally worth it!
