Brook Park Cleanup and Restoration

Founded as a lumber camp in the 1870's, Brook Park Minnesota was incorporated as a township on April 18,1894; and as a village on October 1,1919. There is a lot of amazing history here. On September 1,1894, the township and surrounding area were devastated in the Great Hinckley Fire. You will find a monument for the Brook Park fire victims located at the cemetery just southwest of town. The village began about 1874 with a lumber camp on the site called Pokegama and had a station for the Great Northern Railway. After the Hinckley Fire of 1894 destroyed all the buildings, the village was rebuilt with a number of stores and businesses and named Brook Park after the township.

Now there are two main routes in the community that residents utilize, Minnesota Highway 23 and Minnesota Highway 107. This tiny city is a part of the Hinckley-Finlayson Public Schools. Brook Park lies primarily in Pine County, situated in the east-central region of Minnesota. It is located north of the Twin Cities Metropolitain area and is in close proximity to the St. Croix River, which forms part of the state border with Wisconsin. The town is a short drive south of Hinckley Minnesota.

Grand National Golf Club, Pine City Country Club, and Spring Brook Golf Course are all located less than 12 miles from Brook Park. Pokegama Creek and Pokegama Lake are also in close distance to be enjoyed along with the Snake River.
