Weidman is a village located west of Mt Pleasant in Isabella County. Weidman is a small town that developed, like many others around this area, during the logging era in Michigan. The town developed by being located either near or on Coldwater River and Coldwater Lake. The River flows down to the Chippewa River then becomes a part of the Saginaw Water Basin. Weidman has also had a long running show on National Geographic based on a business that is located in town. Dr. Pol, a local vet in the area is famously known around town from his show on Nat Geo and draws many people from around Michigan that seek out his services.
