Superior Charter Township is located in Washtenaw County Michigan, just west of Detroit. The township encompasses 36 square miles and over 14,000 residents call Superior Township home.
The first lands were sold to the settlers in the 1820's by the Federal government and Superior Township remained a farming community for many years. In 1941, the Willow Run bomber plant and the Willow Run Airport were built. It was then that Superior Township experienced dramatic growth with the influx of war-time workers and their families. Just as Superior Township has grown, so has SERVPRO and its team of fire and water restoration technicians, who are ready to respond to any disaster - and no disaster is too large, or too small, for their team of highly trained professionals.
Superior Township has continued to grow, and is known throughout Washtenaw County, and the State of Michigan, for its active and involved residents. This collection highlights the many interesting places to visit, and things to do, within the township such as: Mattaie Botanical Gardens, Domino's Farms Petting Zoo, Border to Border Trails, Ford Lake and Frog Island Park. Superior Township is also home to three highly rated school districts: Ann Arbor Public Schools, Canton-Plymouth School District and the Ypsilanti Community School District.
The involvement of the townships residents has been evident, as those residents have contributed their talents, skills and ideas to help preserve and improve the quality of life in Superior Township. The rural atmosphere and natural features are what the Superior Township residents like the best!
