Pinckney is a village located within Putnam Township in Livingston County. Pinckney became an incorporated village in 1883. Pinckney is only 1.66 square miles big. Although the village may be small, it has a larger than life feel with its St Patrick’s Day and Memorial Day parades. The student musicians at Pinckney High School also join the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra for a side by side concert yearly at Pinckney High School. Pinckney hosts an Art in the Park annually, organized by the Chamber of Commerce.
Pinckney is home to a few notable athletes. Denny McLain, a former Detroit Tigers pitcher, Zach Sieler, defensive end for the Miami Dolphins and Jake Vedder, snowboarder for the 2022 Winter Olympics Snowboard Cross team. The Grand Trunk Railroad was secured by Pinckney in 1883. The railroad helped Pinckney businesses bloom in this once very rural agricultural town. Much of Pinckney’s land is many settled with camps and cottages due to its many lakes. The state has also purchased much of Pinckney’s land and it is now used as a recreational area. Pinckney gives that small town feel with lots of access to recreational activities, without being to far from expressways for access to city life in a jiff.

My wife and I just bought our home in July 2018, we experienced our first water loss ever in January 2019. Our washing machine malfunctioned causing a flood in our laundry room, which then went into the kitchen, the half bath, and down into the basement. All flooring had to go, bathroom gutted, laundry room gutted, and basement down to cement. It was a horrible experience but we cant say enough good things about SERVPRO, and their staff. Carolyn and Chad handled everything in the office, and were always available for questions and there was a clear line of communication. Paul handled our demo work, he was clean, and was kind to my wife as she was emotional about everything. Alex worked as our project manager and went above and beyond during construction. 2 months after everything is complete and we could not be happier. We would HIGHLY suggest using SERVPRO of Brighton/Howell if you ever find yourself with a water loss.
