Copemish is a small village of approximately 200 full time residents located in the northeast corner of Manistee county. Don’t let its small small size fool you into thinking not much is happening in Copemish. Every week from Memorial day to Labor day it hosts a huge flea market and yard sale. Only a few miles from the Crystal Mountain ski hill complex, Copemish is home to hundreds of seasonal homes that take advantage of everything the “Mountain” offers, ranging from downhill and cross country skiing in the winter to golfing and hiking in the summer. The area is also perfect to just "get away" from the city and relax and enjoy being surrounded by nature.

Copemish has a rich tribal history beginning with its name which translates to “Big Beach” referring to the tree under which the local tribal council originally met. With nature surrounding this area, seasonal homes cater to the downstate residents who flock to northern Michigan to hunt, fish, snowmobile, ride ATV’s, hike, or just hang out and enjoy nature. Located right on M-115 makes getting to Copemish easy. The fall color tours are amazing as the oaks, maples, and aspens get ready for winter.
