Our water delivery company decided to drop 5 gallons of water in our lobby and run...literally. The delivery guy was more worried about his shoes than the mess he created, and he offered no help to fix the mess he created...he just left. The team at SERVPRO showed up with wet vacs to suck up the spill, as well as a fan and a dehumidifier to further dry out the carpet. The tech returned on Monday and collected the equipment once they were satisfied that we were satisfied that everything was dry and back to as it was. Our basement has been leaking for a long time. We would simply get the water up and wait until it leaks again. We had had our basement water-proofed before and when we contacted the company that did the original water-proofing, they had gone out of business. So we waited even more, due to this reason. We didn’t contact another company for a while. So as a result of waiting so long, our basement, still leaking, ended up with mold and mildew. So we contacted two companies for estimates. Yes, I know normally it is suggested to get a minimum of 3 estimates, but when we contacted SERVPRO of Glen Burnie, the cost was within our budget. We agreed on a date for a visit. The techs Charles and Anthony arrived on time and they were very pleasant. They put up the proper protection to save the other part of the basement. Then they removed two layers of tile from the floor. There was a third layer of tiles, and due to the age of the house, it was possible that asbestos was present. Therefore, they stopped working. I contacted SERVPRO of Glen Burnie office and was referred to a reputable company that removes asbestos. I was very pleased with their service, their employees, especially Charles and Anthony. I would highly recommend SERVPRO of Glen Burnie to anyone in need of their service. Their techs are highly trained and did an amazing job. There was no trash left behind whatsoever.
